Horn install on my buddys PSD

Took me about 8hrs... DAMN RAIN! Cuz I didn't have a shop to work in this time.. Driveway FTW!

All air line is 1/2in OD except to the gauge which is 1/4in OD

Maybe someone can gauge what size tank he has, we can't figure it out. No markings except max pressure of 150psi. I'm guessing it's around 6-8gal.. The tank is right between his tank and transfer case on the drivers side of the truck.

Sounds identical to mine, because mainly, they're the same horns as me!... Enjoy! (These pics are also posted in another thread as well)

Also, it's all powered by a ViAir 380c compressor and 110/145psi pressure switch mounted sideways on the frame rail. I put it somewhat close to the exhaust to keep it dry (exhaust pipe temp will help keep water away from the comp). Past couple days it's rained hard and so far, comp has stayed dry and cool!

Looks good!
I'd say that's a 7 gallon tank, hard to tell.

He had it on the truck when he bought it... Traced the wires under the dash to it and it didn't go anywhere lol... So we used it for the horns.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Not a huge fan of a separate button or the location of the on-board air connector. But from what I can tell looks like a clean install. Such a large truck, needs bigger horns. Glad to see large air lines though.

thats a good looking truck/install. i've got a leak where the tube goes into the valve. didn't have this valve on my old set up. i had the same one you just installed.

here's where is leaks. the blue piece is some kind of push pressure clip or something.

Those fittings are not leak free. I learned that the hard way lol..

Swap that fitting out for a compression fitting and you'll be leak free man. Those fittings are good though if they don't have to hold air, rather letting air pass through them. That's what I'm still running on mine, after my valve. Same as the install on this truck.

as far as i know it's the kong mk2. louder than the one i had before. that valve makes all the difference whether it leaks or not. between the two, i really don't like that gravity valve that y'all just put on the f250. it seemed slow to open and close when i had it attached to my other horns. either way, they git it done!
