Testing my Powertrax No-Slip. PIC'S PIC'S PIC'S

Like the title says I just installed a Powertrax No-Slip locker in my truck and what better way to test it out than in the dunes.

I should note that prior to the locker my truck would get stuck if I even looked at a dune so all you 4X4 guy's dont laugh cuz this is still a BIG improvement over the stock 8.8 open diff.

well enjoy

Besides the locker I have also installed a Basslink powered sub and I also did the rear disk brake conversion.

Yes this is my DD, well sorta. I ride my street bike whenever the weather permits. I just put it in today but from what little road time I have with it I can say it seems as if it will be very easy to live with. The Powertrax No-slip is designed to be a very road friendly locked. If you like I can Pm. ya with my thoughts once I get some more road time with it.

sweet pics.. but a locker seems dumb to upgrade too (for offroading purposes if you are running pretty much stock street tires..)

I have 275's Goodyear wrangler silent armors, what more do I need? This is my dd and I wanted a tire that has good traction both on and offroad, and from what I can tell that is what I got.

Not that I can tell but I have very little street use with it so far. The no-slip locker though is the most streetable locker I was able to fined while shoping around online.

Nice! Lockers make a huge difference over an open diff, even in street driving. My sport trac was my first truck with an open diff and in 2wd it was miserable even in gravel, wet pavement etc. I installed a rear aussie first and it was a huge difference.
Air down more in the sand, like a lot, and you will have much better luck.

Most lunchbox lockers like that are fairly smooth with an auto trans. With a manual you are loading and unloading torque between shifts and it isn't as smooth to drive. I personally wouldn't have a problem installing a locker like that again in an automatic daily driver. I thought about an autolocker for the f150 but not when a set of tires runs me 1500.
