New Here, Pictures of my Truck(s)

How's it going. My name is Tim and I just found this site, I've been over on offroadrangers.com for a few months now. Picked up my first ranger as my first vehicle, was a 93, and ended up sending it too the junkyard. Drove it for a few months then the motor went, among a million other things, and it would cost more than the truck was worth to get it too pass inspection.

Don't let the clean picture fool you, this one was nothing but problems.

Just picked this truck up. Since I got it, I removed the pinstriping and mudflaps. I also cranked the t-bars a bit too level it out, didn't notice too much of a difference. I do like the bit of a stiffer ride though.

Since I will be driving this truck between school and home a lot, I want it to remain pretty good on gas. I was thinking of doing a 2" bl and 32's, but want to see what it will look like first (If anyone has a picture of a 2" BL and 32's or even stock tires post it up!).

I also made a little "grill insert" out of some gutter guard. Drilled a few holes, and zip-tied it on the back side of the grill. I think it looks better than being able to see right through the grill, and it didn't cost a dime.

Yeah I know. I'm worried about mpg's, but not too worried. I'm just going for the "bigger" look right now, only doing light off roading. Real mods for real offroading come after college. I am trying to sit up at about stock f-150 height. I was thinking 2" body lift and
32's will still get good mileage, and get me up there too.

Also just through a black antenna on there that i swapped out with another car.

You don't need a bodylift to run 32s.

x2 on not needing body lift for 32's, but if mpg is a concern stick with stock or maybe just bump up to 31's.

I'm sort of contemplating it now. Gotta see what gears I have out back first because I'm not going to re-gear. My only other concern is that the 33's mess with the transmission and shift pattern a bit, no?

Good looking trucks, you sent the first one to the junkyard? What kind of problems did you have with it, I've been driving my 93 back and forth from PA to NC for the past three years never had a problem with it.

Cracked the block, bad head gasket (was going to get another motor), then realized all the brakes and rotors needed replacing, wheel bearings, alignment, a million bushings, and other stuff I'm forgetting. I finally gave up and figured it wasn't worth the time and money on a truck almost as old as I am.

truck looks good, but it looks like you need some aal's or some shackles in the rear to level the truck out.

It's either the driveway or the picture, because as it sits now it is perfectly level. I see in the one picture how it does look front high though. I cranked the t bars just enough to level it.

I am aware of the stupidity of this move, but it was up to my parents since at the time it was more their's than it was mine. Only thing I was able to get out of it was the head unit. They didn't want me to keep at the house and slowly sell it off for parts over time. The tires I did not get to keep. They were pretty dry rotted and one had a leak anyway. I hope to have better luck with my 2000. I have a bl and 33's planned and I'm gonna leave it at that.
