RANGER 1 DEER 0

thats right, i had a deer encounter this morning, actually its not that bad, i took it to a body shop, and they quoted me $1,400 worth of damage, but with my deductible the way it is, its not even worth reporting it, i am actually in the process of repairing the alignment pins on the headlight, and it cracked the header panel a little bit, but not too bad

i'm hoping that JB weld sticks to that headlight, i would have to have to crack open another set of headlights just to mod them...

i also thought that the impact killed one of my HID's, but i just did a test of them, and both the ballast, and 4300K bulb are just fine

Coulda been alot worse! $1400 sounds about right... doesn't take long to add up if you need a headlight, corner light, header panel... then you have to figure in the labor to fix that fender, paint and put it all back together!

Definitely keep an eye on the jb weld over time. Plastics are really hard to glue together.

And i know what you mean about that deer, luckily, all the stupid deer i see slowly walk away from the highway. But going 60-65mph it scares you.

Hope you ate that deer. I got hit a couple years ago in the drivers side where the fender meets the door

$1400 sounds like a lot, but hopefully you can get some of that done yourself and pocket the cash

Did you at least get the deer processed all up to eat

I can see $1400

Headlight
Corner
Header Panel
Fender and if not fender then the time for someone to fix the smashed part
Paint
Labor for it all

That greasy Deer. Thank god we dont have deer moose or anything of the sort. The Biggset thng we encounter is a Fox or a Racoon. Although a Black Crow is know for causing the most damage here.. ******... JB Weld is nifty stuff lol.

i don't see it, they wanted to repair the header panel, they wanted to replace a perfect corner light, replace the bumper cover, repair the fender, i just put the headlight back in after letting it set up over night, the only ugly spot is under the headlight, when i get more time i will clean up the fiberglass, and probally do a vinyl wrap on that piece to clean it up
