well... 98% of the time I drive by myself, so that's why its over there... another thing, those clips are really tight, honestly I almost can't pull it out of the clips from the driver seat...I bought the "accessory kit" on amazon for $8.00 shipped from Atlanta, GA

That's why the mount is nice. The one in my Dodge, you basically had to slide the light out to get it out.

Can't want to get one in the Chevy!

Everybody is gonna want to grab and pull on it when they get in your truck, they do in mine.

I got mine off Ebay for like 6 bucks shipped.

basically if it flew out then the cab would mostly be crushed b/c that is a major support beam of the truck, they don't bend that easy...

I posted my location and pics over at TRS and got flamed on...said it would become a flying projectile in a wreck and hit me in the neck or head causing death. wtf? It's pretty difficult to get it out...it does take some force to remove it from the brackets.

My 4D is on the driverside C pillar, my 3AA is under my console lid.

I'm sure it's hard to get out, but imagine how much energy there would be if someone broadsided the truck in an intersection or something. Not likely, I know. But I'm pretty sure that thing would become a heavy projective with a lot of energy behind it, that's all I'll say about it.

to knock that thing out I believe they would have to be in access of 65 mph... which would likely harm me 10x more than that light...being where it is I can always go out there and remove it and mount it on my back wall...
