rangers first time out in the mud

i put the ranger in the mud today at the Vermonster4x4. first time its done any kind of wheeling since the sas. everything went great! the ranger performed very well. i made it 88.9ft, some crazy mud this time!

heres a few dirty pictures to keep you happy until i get the videos.

90 ft? What are other rigs similar to yours (weight/engine/setup) running?

I forget what your gears are but I'm sure changing them out to run a higher rpm could help get farther.

sorry still no videos. no one wanted to run back to their house's to get their camera. i was promised tomorrow.

as far as similar rigs in my class, it could be anything from blown 460 f350 to a little 4 banger yota. it goes by tire size, my class is 36-44. 90ft might not sound far but trust me, this isnt any normal mud pit.

im running 5.14 gears, cant go much steeper. i need a bigger motor hands down..

i towed it with a 08 f250 6.4. im impressed every time i hook something to the back of that truck!

thanks everyone for the comments! the truck held up perfectly, and i had a great time. only downer of the day is i only got one run in.

to give you an idea of how deep "the trench" is, this is my buddies rig we built. these were taken at the May event. he made it 283ft out of 300ft, and today he made it 94ft.







and heres a picture of the tench from the finish line. look at the humps you have to get over at the start.

videos are uploading to youtube right now. i went up to my buddies house today to play in a little mud. had to call a wrecker to pull me out. got a few pictures and videos.
