A few pics from this weekend

Me (JeepRecoveryVehicle) and some local Jeepers went out to Corbett again. It has dried up quite a bit so we went looking down some trails that are usually a little too deep. Here are a few pics. They like me to come along as I am heavier than they are and have more pulling power than most of them.
BTW, do not think your front tow hooks are made for hard pulling someone out of the mud. I bent the cross member that the two hooks attach to while pulling someone out in reverse. I would have thought they would have attached directly to the frame but oh well. Got another project now.

Did I mention it wasn't too deep? Except for this spot.

Wow. That was deep. Is there anything special about jeep engines. Or is it possible to submerge everything under the hood like that (when you have a snorkle)?

I am just going to beat the hell out of the crossmember with a BFH.
I learned my lesson about being too lazy to hook to both tow hooks up front. That pull was the easiest of the day also. Oh well. Live and learn.
That Jeep is on 35s with a good amount of lift. It also has a coil pack not a distributor so that probably helps with deep water crossings??
As far as deep water goes, as long as you are in and out pretty quick and have a snorkle, you are usually OK. Hell I have had water crest over my hood many times and I don't have a snorkle. I don't like it and I have to pull my seat fibers out of my *** but I have done it successfully.
99Ranger, they dog me like crazy too but in one shining moment of "satisfaction" for me you can hear on one of the videos that he "really likes that Ranger". I think it is on this video. Nothing technical or crazy about it though and not sure why he even video'd it.
