ya maurice. that u joint looked pretty bad. i would change both of them while u have the shaft off.

I did. I installed some Precision heavy duty u-joints (suckers are cold formed steel instead of hot formed). It is strong as an ox now!

Yea stone we were. And I had already started looking at them before I found this. The main thing that sucks is i'm going to have to pull the motor to reweld that mounting plate, and that is going to SUCK. So if anyone has any suggestions on what type of new motor mounts and who makes them i'm all ears.

search around on TRS, there is a number of people on that site who has done v8 swaps on Gen 1 and Gen 2's....

TRS has even more motor mounts listed, but i'm not firmiliar with any of the differences, and wondered if anyone had any personal experience with any of them
