the new whip (jeep content)

some of you have seen my jeep, some of you haven't. but, it replaced the ranger about 2 months ago. from time to time I miss my ranger, but I'm happy with my jeep now. went out and took some pictures today, due to being bored, and I really didn't have any good pictures of it with a camera. you might ask, why I'm still on a ranger forum even though I drive a jeep now.. good question because all the people here are friendly, and I've grown to feel welcome here for the most part. also, I have some knowledge of rangers, due to owning one and doing lots of repairs. the jeep forum I'm on, isn't as friendly as here either and I don't really like it there. so, I plan on sticking around here for a while, as I will probably get another ranger soon. thinking about a throwing dana 60's and 38's under a first gen, or bagging a second gen. time will tell. anyways, enough of my rambling. here is my heep

not even at full flex ^ need to trim some more

and for the hell of it

I have millions of pictures, but I feel like I've already posted enough

That's pretty sweet.

Me and my buddy started building up a 96 Cherokee back in late 2010.

thank ya sir. pretty simple to build, and a helluva lot of fun to wheel in.

haha even with open diff's front and rear, I keep up with all the local cherokees that are locked front and rear

well, I had a bear on the front at first. it was a bear my sisters ex-bf gave her, and my mom was tired of seeing it lol. so I put it on my bumper. I eventually took it off the front and put it on my hitch, and lost it somewhere along the local wheeling spot haha. so I threw the one small one on top for the hell of it.

heres a picture of the one on the front lol. oh, and this is with the swaybars connected.

How does that thing run without sway bars.
My buddy is a wuss, too afraid to run his XJ without them (he dd's it some days)
So i had to custom make an adjustable panhard arm for it to line up when we did his lift.
I wanted to cut the f*cker out.

disconnected the front sway bar from day one, and ziptied the ends to my frame. ran the back one until I got a key to get my locking lug nuts off, then threw it in the trash. I left the front one on but disconnected in case I ever wanted to use it. you just have to adapt to it. its really not a big deal. the flex is so much better without them. I finally took the front one completely off after I flipped my jeep 3 weeks ago and caught the sway bar drop brackets on a root, bending them in, when I was flipping it back over lol. I used to drive my ranger like it was a nascar, so driving something lifted in general is a change of pace. sway bars being disconnected you just have to be a touch more careful. I still take 35-40 mph turns doing 55-60

edit: if you don't wanna read all that, then here you go. my jeep is my DD, and my only vehicle. I drive it 300 miles a week without swaybars.

I read it all.
I told him they weren't necessary items. I'll have to show him this. I pretty much just cut his in half, brought a piece of chrome molly home from work, and welded it on once the bar was at correct length.
To get the back one to line up, i just fabbed up a larger version of the mount that comes with the kit, and welded that one in too.

the rear one is the most useless one. the front does work if you don't like flex lol. I got **** on the cherokee forum I'm on for talking about running without them.. since no one will say anything here, just throw them away haha.

hahaha, thats funny considering I haven't edited any of them. I used to wash it with simple green but it ended up coming out really dull, so I got some turtle wax wash that makes it look really good in the sun. in person the fenders are dented up from flexing, and it has a fair amount of scratches, thanks to the extremely tight trails the 4x4 club I ride with likes to take.

met a guy with a 4.9 stroker in a wrangler over the weekend. said he was pushing over 400hp. when he drove down the road I about cried but then again he said he had at least 25k tied up in his jeep. I'm still under 3k

thats pretty badasss. nah, I'm on cherokee forum. but idk how long I'll be on there. everyone bitches about wanting to go wheeling and ****, but when you invite people no one wants to go. I can't afford tons yet lol. I'm a 17 year old with no job. if I ever got the itch for anything over 35's, I would go with the first gen ranger idea I had. I like my jeep having open diff's and 33's compared to all the locked f&r with 35 cherokees. makes me feel good when I drive right up a hill they sat there and struggled on for literally 10-15 minutes.

Yea the 4.6 was a catalog order it had 246 at the crank so it was a improvement over stock and for the torque it was great. Never lifted the jeep tho i broke the 8 1/4 and sold it for a subaru.
