Like hell, I'm not afraid to use it, I just don't want to abuse it, like so many people of this forum like to do. Why put extra stress on your suspension, when there's no real need for it, other than horsing around.
Some of the pictures I've seen what people are doing to their trucks on this forum is awful. I don't want to encourage that kind of behavior. I feel sorry for the poor sucker that buys one of these trucks used, without knowing how much stress was put on it.
If you have an old junker truck and want to play around fine go ahead. But I think it's crazy to beat up on a new truck for no reason.

sounds like another Takeda.... I dont mean to make fun.... but this is just silly.... do you have any actual proof like pics of this frame twisting by doing this minor off roading?
Go to a junk yard off a piece of a frame rail, go home put it in a vice and you try to bend it without using extreme heat...
I bet you go through cars and trucks like cigarettes, if you drive them....

yes Ive heard of bent frames... but from people who get into accidents and about zabeard who got stuck in the dunes one time and was getting yanked out
hears something new.... metal bends.... its part of its property... if you do something extreme like stated above then yes you are going to bend it... but going off road and flexing isnt going to bend it, you would roll over before the frame would bend. If you were looking into buying a used truck I bet you couldnt tell the difference between a truck that had been off road and one that has been on the road its whole life.... I could throw mud under the one that has been on the road its whole life and you would prolly think that one is messed up and vice versa.... you are prolly thinking yeah I could because the frame on the one that had been off road is bent... well what dealer would sell someone with a bent frame? thats asking for a lawsuit.... the thing is its a truck its meant to take a beating... the parts are more beefy than that of a car.. its just common sense... but try and bend the frame of a ranger or any other truck... I bet it would surprise you

Mark, you are horrible, never flex your truck ever, it is horrible and you are horrible and everyone that flexes is horrible....
My truck survived. It has also been airborne at the dunes, which i will never do again. I love my truck, i also like to keep it nice and have fun with it at the same time. I am a certified mechanic at a dealership so i do not have a problem fixing my own truck if something does break, or finding someone to help me fix it. I know there are people on here who had nice trucks and beat hem to s*** but not everyone who flexes or goes weekend offroading with their truck beats on it. My truck has 173,000 miles on it and i let my neighbor borrow it when i did brakes on his ranger and he was in disbeleif of how much nicer it rode and drove than his ranger with 68k on the clock. i also get 7 miles to the gallon better than his stock 4x4
please dont be a takeda...you will not make friends preaching OEM stuff. My truck has changed alot, but the majorty of parts on it are ford parts off of other years and makes of vehicles

is there really any reason why 99.95% of the members on this site do what they do to/with there trucks? why would anyone lift or lower their trucks? it would be considered compromising the vehicles integrity right? i guess that makes the truck worthless.
i put my truck through hell sometimes to test its breaking point.(thankfully i have yet to really find it. lol....) on another note..... i gain a certain level of respect for my truck by doing so. i know exactly what my truck can and cannot handle. if i break something, i fix it. $*** happens when your having fun. and besides.... who doesnt like new parts...?
