can't wait to tear it down!

Question the hooker long tube conversion headers. Do the work on E heads or the GT40P heads?

Can't remember, 88 or 89 they start having the roller motors?

EDIT: Just looked it up in the mustang book, was in 85.

What trans do you plan to run with it?

EFI or Carb? If EFI Speed Density or Mass Air?

Also you might want to look at getting a fuel rail from a 302 F-150, works MUCH better than the mustangs. Also helps to have a phenolic spaced if your using the stock intake manifolds, it allows enough clearance for the fuel pressure regulator.

No, E7 and GT40 heads use the same spark plug positions/angles, GT40Ps require P specific headers.

Use 94-95' fuel rails, or Cougar/T-Bird rails for improved flow/capacity.

Keep us updated.

EFI, looking to do a Novi 2000 unit on it aswell. I am considering using the E heads and porting the ever living **** out of them. It will also have a trick flow stage 1 cam and trickflow intake manifold. I dunno what else yet. Definatly EFI. The MAF/SD will depend on how I can tune it. If I can get some good tuning software for my laptop SD if not...MAF.

OK well the motor is torn appart. It's down to the block/rotating assembly. By far the easiest tear down of a motor I have ever done. This motor is immaculate!

Also found out today I will be buying another ranger, only this one will be an SVO swapped ranger.

The mustang fuel rail that came on the 93 fox motor i had, attached the fuel lines to the front passengers side of the motor, in front of the valve covers. Then the fuel lines had to be run around the motor, was kinda a pain, and on my truck ran very close to the headers. With the F-150 fuel rail the lines attached at the back of the motor on the drivers side. When I switched fuel rails it cut out about 10 feet of un-necessary fuel lines. Might have just been the hack job that was my truck, but I knew of 2 other guys on TRS with 302's that did the same thing of swapping fuel rails. Much simpler.

Save yourself the hassle and set the E7s aside, they're not worth porting. Once you have spent the cash on any surfacing that may need done, valve finishing, springs, seals, valve seats and prep (if your able to do this yourself) the amount of money you'll spend on upgrading parts (you will be upgrading the valves and springs, right?) you can buy a set of slightly used GT40X, ARF, or Dart aluminum heads, save weight, gain power and you won't be tearing it apart in a few months to put the heads on you wish you would have.

If you can afford it, I would look into a custom cam for your specs and power needs. However this can get quite expensive for a quality job. Crane has some wicked low end torque cams you should check out depending on what you're after.

I plan to get rid of the E heads. I want to go gt-40P, my only concern is if these hooker swap headers will bolt up to a GT-40 head as opposed to an E series. Plus I was wanting to run a BBK SSI what ever race manifold.
