Tinted tails

More like black painted tails.

I get complaints about them during the day, but at night:

Only problem is that the truck wont reflect from the rear, so I need to put something back there so no idiots crash into my truck if it's parked in the road.

I love the green and orange

So what color is the Ranger's gages? Someone pointed out that my "orange" was weird.

Point of thread; none.

x2

No one can see my turn signals on my tinted tails, as soon as I got the line of fire I noticed people actually giving me room to make a turn

You can also look at some LED bulbs for the tails, I'm sure any replacement 'bulb' will put out less light than the incandescents, but Jp7 on here has some mad bright tails as a result from LED bulbs from the newer mountaineers or somethin. Might be somethin to look into to get more light outta the dark tails.

+1 for the line of lights. It is difficult to see those and I know you have them. Some random person driving behind you doesn't quite pick that up very quick...could be an issue.

Last thing you want is someone rear ending you and it all blamed on the lack of illumination. That won't be good!

*That was me that pointed out the gauge cluster. I have confirmed it's a mazda thing to have black faces and orange neetles. Rangers are black faces w/ white neetles. I dig orange neetles. Orange neetles have always just been on explorer white faced clusters, and ranger silver face clusters. I'm actually in the hunt for a mazda cluster....

I don't really understand the point of making your lights solid black looking. You loose any functionality of your reverse light, make it harder for others to see when you are braking (especially from a little distance during a sunny day), loose functionality of them acting as a reflector, and IMO it's played out. I can understand tinting them a little, but not solid black.

I agree with Korey.

Thus the reason for my recent turn signal mod... Showed Shane tonight... it's BAMF. lol

Orange and black faces was a mazda specific thing...

Mine is a TrePaul custom.... Orange needles, silver faces, Brilliant blue LED backlit... Same with Shanes :-)

you are referring to my L1224R conversion - yes this would be perfect as they are much brighter than the standard bulb.

It is not that hard to see.
This is day. Taken far away, at an angle.

Why did I paint them? Because I like the look. I will be putting in much strong bulbs when I have money :)

It looks good since you have the black on red theme going already with the rims. I personally wouldn't do it to my truck since it's black.
