I just picked up this sub and amp for $300 if any one knows anything about JL W7's they go for 700-800 just for the sub. its soooo loud this amp is only putting out 800 watts and my head hurts after one song lol. Also i think i need a capacitor does anyone know how easy or hard those are to install?

The cap is easy to install, just run the hot inline with the amp and ground it.

 

make sure that you 'charge' the cap before use. to do this you simply put a light bulb, or resistor inline between the power wire and the terminal on the cap. When you take it out of the system make sure you 'discharge' the cap. To do this take the light bulb and place it across the terminals of the cap until the bulb goes out.

Awesome! I have a w6v2 and it bumps. I can't even imagine a w7 in a ranger. Good find!
