Im a little confused there. The first production Mustang to get IRS was the 99 Cobra, and IIRC they were all 31 spline. In fact, i thought all the V8 Mustangs went 31 spline in 96 or so. I cant imagine they put 31 spline in the GT and a 28 spline in the Cobra.

All modular GTs are 28 spline unless upgraded to Moser 31s.

really? I read the Fox guys were swapping in rear ends from 96 or 98 GTs because they went 31 spline and the 3.27s came standard.

I guess i learned something new.

I would hope they are 28, or I wasted a good bit of change on Mosers and center chunk to have 31s lol.

94-04 are all SN95s. 94 switched from the Fox-4 chassis to SN95 which stopped in 04 and switched to the S197 in 05.

yeah I knew they switched to S197 in 05 just wasnt clear on when SN95 was stopped being used. I was told by some local mustang guys that SN95 went to 98 then from 1999- 2004 it went under a different name then in 05 S197.... sorry if I sound confusing

Some say in 99 it switched to 'New Edge'...This was not an official Ford change just a body style. Officially SN95 carried through 04.

Thanks guys. It was hard to let this one go, being totally unmolested and with only 64k and I'm the 3rd owner! The interior is great condition as well as under the hood. I'll get more pics. And oh, what did it run? Let's just say around 5 digits....hahaha

a built teksid in a 99'-01' with boost is far better than your average heavy iron block terminator, the balance feels better. beautiful car brenda

I've been driving it since the snow cleared out. Took it north and got 22 mpg on the highway. Very impressed since Taz would get like 16! LOL

Congrats on your purchase...I sold my 99 cobra last summer...had 2800 miles on it.

They can be really fun ...if your'e staying NA then a set of 4:10 gears really wakes those cars up.
