Tow Hooks FINALLY!!!

6 Attachment(s)
Well I finally got some sort of tow point...as I previously had zero points lol... I got these for $5 basically brand new from a guy I have wheeled with before.. they are 10,000lb hooks...I think they'll be perfect where they are.. as they sitkc down JUST past my rollpan, so the rollpan shouldn't get damaged when being pulled with a strap.... and also just a picture of my PERFECT alignment... I'm pretty stoked about it finally being perfect.. not bad for 11" of front lift..!

Looks good, but I'm afriad if someone yanks you at any other angle than flat you are gonna loose your roll pan, from the looks of it anyways!

No, not factoy... I drilled out the 4 holes myself..easy as pie.. lol

Off-roadranger04 10-14-2009 11:18 AM

nice... now what about the front??? What if you get stuck and no one is behind you?? then what lol

Robin Hood 10-14-2009 11:18 AM

yeah i agree with the danger of ripping your roll pan off... be careful! haha.

but they look good.

Metro55 10-14-2009 11:23 AM

I have nowhere to put them in the front...and I don't really wheel in too many spots where someone can't hook up behind me... and besides... I haven't had ANY tow points since I bought the truck like 4 years ago.. and I've yet to be stuck.. and I've been through some pretty hairy stuff.. so these are just an added bonus.. as for the rollpan.. I don't see myself getting yanked out too many times..

SHOBout 10-14-2009 11:36 AM

Looks good, and seeing that truck from the front like that... It looks like a beast haha.

pfft stuck? in that truck?? yeah right! lol cool hooks man

Downey 10-14-2009 11:43 AM

are you afraid of bending the frame?

Toreador4x4 10-14-2009 11:45 AM

i used to have hooks like that and when i got pulled from them it bent the frame downward on the bottom

get a hitch that comes through behind the license plate like they sell for roll pans

Downey 10-14-2009 11:48 AM

^^^ thats what i was thinking

Haha, ya it's pretty beastly from the front sometimes... I wish I could see what it looks like from a rear view mirror, lol

honestly, I'm not too worried about it.. it will just be used incase I randomly get stuck.. like in snow or something, not in BALLS DEEP mud pits... and it's also temporary till I get a steal bumper made up.. thanks for the concern though

ShadowRanger08 10-14-2009 03:27 PM

nice, Canadian tire sells those haha for $19.99. rip off.

01_ranger_4x4 10-14-2009 03:37 PM

chris, if you havent been stuck in 4 years, you just havent been wheeling hard enough!

sniper_101 10-14-2009 04:52 PM

Looks good. The holes lined up on the hooks and frame?

x2 I can see it twisting your frame if the force is unequal.
