Truck is gone! Sorry guys its not a Ford.
The wife and I finally compromised on a jeep. Its smaller and more economical, yet its still "manly" and 4x4. Plus it has a useful back seat that I can get to. (all this with a carseat in mind, not right away, but future)
Its a 2006 and has a 4.0L 6 speed manual, 26,000 miles, I think the rims are the DC1s, correct me if im wrong, does anyone know? Im to frantic with forums look. Its sitting on 32 inch mud terrain sxts.

The compromise is losing the big truck, and getting something smaller, while still maintaining a solid 4x4 rig that fits both of our liking. my wife didnt want a big truck, and i didnt want a little car. I didnt want another ranger because of the seats. the jeep has a more useful back seat than my 150. Having a big lifted truck just seemed to unnecessary, plus the 150 had 113000 miles. this has 26,000 and we only owe a few thousand more.
Bottom line, economial may have been the wrong word. Maybe more useful s a commuter should have been the term used.

As opposed to the back seat in a lifted 150. As said, its not the main baby hauler, but it will do the job with less of a pain then we had before, easier getting in and out.
There just isnt anything else out there in the price range with low miles. Theres a sport trac, but finding one with 25000 miles at $18000 is impossible. We wanted something that CAN hold a carseat if we need to drive something other then my wifes car.
Plus we wanted to get out of my truck, Jeeps hold their value better as long as theyre below 100000 miles. I owed 16000 on my 150, so this was the route to take to get out of it with the least amount of negative equity. so we owe about 1500 backwards still. so far we're happy with it, thats all that matters eh?
