Found the thread. It looks like it will work. Guess I will start searching the junkyards for bump stops about 2"-3" bigger then my stock one.

Mic seems to be working pretty good there. Before I had it ran behind the a pillar and wasnt really attached to anything it just kind of hung there, lol.

The dual stick setup I have is part of the FX4 package only available in the 02-03 years.
The hurst shifter came from summit.
The first time i painted my under carriage about a year ago i did hand paint it with pint sized can of rustoleam and some foam brushes. But this time I was less patient and just used rattle cans.

It's factory super rare stuff only found on Manual transmission equipped 2002 Fx4 Off Roads and 2003 Fx4 Level II trucks. It's got the transfer case shifter bezel and transmission shifter bezel molded together....it's one piece and retails for oh....$350 from ford IF there's still any left in the country. I priced out all that 02-03 Fx4 specialty stuff last year and just the trans ball was about $150 retail.

I've always wanted to get a chink of billet and get a new one machined with a longer tcase hole. Then polish it out and clear coat it.

2001fordranger 09-01-2010 06:06 PM

I went in a paid $125 for the bezel $50 for the shifter knob and $70 for the leather boot. Paid at ford dealer with credit card, got a great deal thanks to my good ole father in law, and yes their are 22 units in the warehouse and they could still order them as the replacements are still in production when need for replacment

Fx4wannabe01 09-01-2010 07:17 PM

But umm......you've got the standard normal plain jane 5spd bezel that's found in every manual Ranger since '00 except the two special ones I mentioned earlier. The '04+ manual Fx4LII's got that same bezel that every other manual ranger got but has the leather boot and obviously the neato chrome shifter arm and unique ball.

Putting the "twin stick" bezel as pictured in the first post of this thread in your truck makes no sense....you're 2wd. lol.

2001fordranger 09-01-2010 08:37 PM

U sid not here me, I'm not putting in a twin shifter or bezel. I am putting in the main shifter and the special bezel, I have seen the bezel and know what to do, i am a engineer by trade, so don't worry.
