The water is arisin' at Corbett

Me, a buddy of mine and his wife and our kids went out to Corbett for a bit yesterday. The water is risin though we made it out to the end of Tomato Grade and T3. Good mud spots still but going away as they are covered with water. Time to get serious about my snorkel mod. Might have to go the Hummer snorkel route.
Anyways on with the pics.

Getting a chance to use my winch. He is on 33x12.5 BFG ATs, better known as mud slicks. He is locked also. I made it through this stretch with no problems. Mud tires - 1, ATs - 0

And my fail. I forgot I was in 2wd and it was a little deeper than I thought so when my front end went down I had to give it more gas that I expected to keep the wake in front (you should be able to see the water line on the front bumper). I got the front to come up but the back in buried itself then got high centered on a root. Oh well.

Not too worried about it, I guess. Never thought about that. Everyone I run with has a winch and has gone through pretty deep puddles submerging them and they still work. I think if I were to keep it under water it'd hurt it but a quick dip shoulkdn't be too bad.

Too many drunks who didn't care about the environment and staying on the designated trails messed that all up.
And it's very tropical there. You can have fish swimming in the cab of your truck on a good day. :)

Kinda looks like a tropical version of Wharton State Forrest where we wheel here in NJ.

Nice looking truck.

Yeah man those drunk rednecks and the 2wd guys going 70mph everywhere ruin all the riding spots!

It's not even so much the drunk rednecks (I was kinda like a pot calling the kettle black there) as much as the disrespectful pukes.
That water line is about 3/4 of the way up my Hellas. You know the water might be a little too high and jeopardize you air intake when you hear that muffled engine sound in the cab for that second or two. I call it the pucker factor. Kinda like getting speed wobble at 175mph on a bike.
