just threw some black paint on real fast to help it from de elements

the new crossmember, i think its 2" square tubing, with the excursion hooks. it's extremely strong in comparison to the stock one. we had to durability test it to make sure the hooks would hold up being welded and such. taking down a dead tree was the task lol. (have video lol)

wow, that looks really good, i'd make the square tube you put a front hitch receiver, could come in handy some day. think when you get a chance you could take a pic of how you mounted that to the frame?

Damn you Mike. Damn you!

You made me like tub bumpers. I think it's because you used the stock upper on it.

DARN YOU TO HECK!

Thought about the hitch receiver, but with the tow hooks that are on there...it wouldn't do me any good to add the receiver for recovery. But it wouldnt take much to add it some day if the need was there.

What do you want to see mounted at the frame? The tube that runs under the stock bumper goes to the plates that hold the bumper on. there were little 'nipples' on them that were cut off, and the tube was put there. Behind the bends there are two 2" supports to the frame for the tube under the bumper. The square stock just runs between the rails and is welded to. then there is a hoop that goes under the tow hooks, (frame to frame) and protects the radiator/condensor. From there, there are 2 1.5" tubes that go to the k-member.

It's pretty stupid strong.. lol

Thanks Jimmeh, hopefully i dont go to hell for just that? lol

i think im in the same boat, minus all the 'damn yous'. the stock upper makes a world of difference.

as far as mounting i get where you mounted the tube that runs under the stock bumper, where do those bends mount?
also is it 1.5" tube that you used for it all?

sorry for all the questions, but i think you just got me sold on a tube bumper haha

i'll have to take more pictures, take too long to describe!

the whole bumper is 2" tube, except for the tubes on the verrry underside, which are 1.5"

Bumper looks good dude. I would love to have it. I need to weld me in a cross member like that or maybe a hitch.

No worries, I was more or less stuck elsewhere so could not have made it.

Do you remember how to get to where you were at? I want to check that out.

Looks nice, not big and bulky like some. What exhaust do you have? Sounds nice in the video.
