Well... ****!
Well yesterday I went to get a load of granite rocks for my mom at a local nursery. All was good, the truck took the weight just fine, the guy loaded it perfect as he know I took care of my truck.
Got home, and noticed my whole rear glass just spider shattered to ****. I was kinda choked. I gave the manager a call at the nursery and I told him what happened, just to inform him, and that I was shoked because he loaded it with such care. He was very surprised too, and was actually proud of himself with the job he did of loading me up. I told him I would have to pay a $200 deducatble to get it fixed under my insurance, he said he would split the cost, and I was pretty happy, but then by the end of the call he said he would foot the whole bill..

Nope, all I can think of (since the window blew out) is that maybe he hit the window with a couple rocks and weakened/cracked a small part of the glass.. then when I got home and rolled my window up and closed the door, the pressure in the cab was enough to blow it out

As for my insurance coverage, it's different in Manitoba, I don't pay anything other than my registration for my vehicle which includes the insurance. I get free glass coverage for small cracks and chips, but not replacement. As for getting a new window from the JY.. even if it is $100 or less.. I still have to go through the hassle of removing this one, and finding someone to install the new window.
And as for "risk of hauling".. I completely understand that. I was not calling the guy to get anything out of him, I was just letting him know what happened, and he offered to cover it for me.
