Wheeling w/pics & vid, Ranger flopped
Charlie redranger_02 and I went wheeling Sunday afternoon/evening. I think he had a good time. He just moved out here so I thought I'd show him a fun trail. Well somehow parts of it were graded, still required 4x4 but not as hardcore. Well by the end of the day it was hardcore enough. I got stuck by being stupid. I learned a locker will dig the rear down in wet sand in nothing flat! Then on the way out Charlie layed his rig down on its side. Then the engine oil hit the catalytic converter and it started a small fire which we put out with 2 gallons of water. We rolled it over in just a few minutes with a quick pull from under the frame of his truck to my hitch. Luckily it started back up and he drove it out. I'll let him do the talking on his rig. My girlfriend was riding with me and took most of the pictures so most of the pics are of Charlies truck. I'm the guy in the green shirt. Enjoy!
Gassing up
Exiting the highway
Pics of the trail notice the road runner in the first pic, it's on the right side in the road.
Sunset pics
Here are some video clips. I think there are a few cuss words, I know chit was said once. Charlie "This chit stinks". The water is stagnent so it stinks. Plus it was 105 degrees outside.
Charlie in the sand.
Charlie on the rocks
Here I am in 2wd and locked, another 100 yards and I hit a really soft spot and got stuck.
Detour to the rocks
Me stuck
Easy tug. I didn't want to dig down the front end so that is why it's barely dug in.
For more pics check out photobucket. 180 were taken and I didn't upload all of them but over 100 were uploaded.

He has those carnage pictures, I don't. It's his truck with the whole passanger side torn up. Windows smashed, mirror destroyed, doors jacked up, bed pushed into the cab a little, every body panel on the passenger side is FUBAR. I'd post the pics if I had them or if he sent them to me to post.

Yea it was a 4000 dollar insurance claim to. Here is all they are doing. Replacing front fender, door, 4th door, pass. side bedside, front window, both pass.; side windows, tint, emblem, 4x4 sticker on bedside, and then on the driver's side they are painting both doors from a previous claim. So far the move out here has cost me 550 bucks in deductibles and over 5500 bucks in insurance claims. Not a good start huh? Well insurance has been really good to me I have to say!

I'm sure he will come wheeling with me again. It was just bad luck. I guess it was the deserts way of saying welcome. That is besides all the tree shrub and branches that fell in the bed from the trail. That trail isn't even that tight either. Just wait until we go down some washes and trails that are very overgrown, we can fill the bed up with shrubbery!
