Been a long time since I've posted some pics
I've been on a few wheeling trips with my truck this summer and haven't had really much time to post pictures of the trips. So I decided since it's raining outside I'll go ahead and post them now.
Sorry in advance for the blurry pictures, there's something going on with my camera
First Trip http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=11
I was down near Holy Cross City camping and decided I would give the trail a go and see how far I could make it up the trail. I went knowing I wasn't going to be able to do all of the trail as it is rated as one of the hardest trails in Colorado, but I did end up making it up about 2 miles then realized the clutches in my limited slip must of broke as only one rear wheel was spinning. Finally got a chance to use my winch for about 25 feet of the trail, beat the crap out of my sliders and under carriage. But I ended up backing the truck off the trail and hiked the last 2 miles up it.
Pictures:
Here's the entrance to the trail.
This is about a 1/4 mile into the trail
This is where my truck could no longer make it. About 500ft past this sign was the first obstacle. Pretty much a nice slab of smooth rock you have to climb over and with my rear being open I couldn't gain any traction on it.
This is where my truck sat until I got done with the hike.
Nice River Flowing next to the trail.
Little stream crossing in the road.
This next picture was suppose to show how steep this trail is, it however does not. Pretty much the 2 mile hike consisted of a really steep incline.
Here is the steep rock obstacle. The rock is about 5 ft high and you have to do a sharp left to approach it and then at the top a sharp right.
The river crossing sorry no good pictures of it.
Here's the tippy tree obstacle
Approaching the mine
All the walls of the house had writing of of people who have made it to the city and when they did it. The oldest one I found was 1941 but the photo of it didn't turn out, so this was the second oldest one I found.
Back at camp, pictures of my truck tent.
Second Trip TrailDamage.com - Coney Flats TrailDamage.com - Middle St. Vrain
I ran Coney Flats and Middle Saint Vrain on fourth of July as me and gknight had the day off. Always wanted to do this trail as it has so many water crossings and a lake crossing at the top.
Taking a break getting ready to cross the lake. Videos of the water crossing at the end of the post.
This is about a mile after getting off the trail, taking a small break before the 2 hour drive home.

Had a lot of close calls on those 2 miles. After giving the bottom of my truck a really good inspection, both my t-bar sliders are bent back almost 90 degrees, my rear drive shaft has a nice spiral around it, most have caught it on a rock. No dents on it luckily. I know my rear pumpkin was hung up, that's one of the spots I had to use the winch to pull my self out of. Lower control arms are a little scuffed up and the gas tank and t-case skid are bowed a little, the muffler is caved in more but that's been getting banged up for a while now.
But I think a lot of them battle scars are mostly from the last 3 years of wheeling her hard and putting her away wet. But she still runs strong and has never left me stranded. I'm loving them Duratracs as well, been trying to get stuck with them and they just grip everything.
I'm really ready to start hitting the trails now that I got the explorer 31 spline in and some 4.10s.
