Wifes new car...
Well... It's not a Ford but we've decided to cross enemy lines.. Here's the newest addition to our family...
2012 Chevy Cruze.. Gets 36 mpg on the highway which is a helluva lot better than the 16 mpg that her old Jeep got.
I swore I would never finance another vehicle after getting screwed over by Ford Motor Credit but our financing is great on this car, we got a low APR, We have On-Star and XM Satellite radio free for 6 months, 5 year 100,000 mile warranty including AAA style/quality roadside asst. To top it off, We got an additional $500 off the price for a loyal customer discount because we used to own a Saturn.
While talking to the sales manager, I mentioned how pissed off I was at Ford for their discontinuing the Ranger and she agreed. Her response was that Ford was insane for discontinuing the Ranger because the market for small trucks was still pretty good and that anytime they get a Ranger as a trade-in, it usually sells quick.
I've only ever financed two cars in my life (at a reputable dealer) the first was at Ford, the second through GM and I have to say that in hindsight, Ford told me alot of lies when I financed and was clearly trying to reach a quota. I have no ill will towards Ford but I've def. switched my loyalty to GM.
This car is beautiful and I'm a very satisfied customer

That is not a bad deal! I myself am not brand loyal but the only thing I like about buying new is the warranty that comes with it. My older sister got screwed as well by Ford financing but I believe they have changed their ways (at least let's hope so!) Just tell your wife to enjoy her new ride!

They call it Ice Blue, They gave her the option of Silver, Gold, or Ice Blue and the color really pops in the sun, Yeah, they are turbo.
It's pretty sporty. I was watching TV this morning and there is a new Mercedes that has a very similar interior, The keys are kinda funky like the luxury cars too that have a button and pop out. We're pretty happy with it. It replaced the Cobalt in their lineup.

I dunno...
I've done business with a LOT of companies that ended up with bailout money and still do. I believe GM's doing better with their company as they're coming up with a lot more "eco-friendly" cars and trucks where before It looked like all they produced was gas guzzler SUV's and trucks.
I still believe Ford refused bailout money only because they'd have to open their books to the feds.

It's a little sluggish going from a v8 Jeep but it feels like it has more power than my Ranger. It handles great, not too stiff but not too loose. It rides smooth as butter and it has some kind of sound dampener of some kind. It's super Quiet, You can't hear someone talking to you if they're standing next to your window and the doors are closed.
The On-Star and voice commands are pretty sweet too. I haven't really been in technologically advanced car before
