1994 ranger gauges

My 1994 ranger's oil pressure gauge was showing low pressure. I had the oil pressure tested and it was fine so i replaced the oil sending unit. I drove it and it worked fine for awhile.
I noticed today that same gauge was moving towards the low pressure side in a quick and jerking motion. When i got home and turned off the truck the oil, temp and battery indicator stayed in the same position they were when the truck was running. I turned the key forward as if i was going to start it then back to off and the gauges all went down.

my question is what can it be?

BTW it has 218,000 miles on it, purchased it brand new

I would go through and remake/clean all the ground connections.
Battery to frame, battery to engine, frame to body.....

What Ken said,
Its most likley bad ground or faulty gauge.
My gauge went at 150k. Found a whole new dash in 10x better condition, so now my truck reads 135k.
