im lookn for a lil help 96 ranger 2.3 idles good till u give it some throttle runs good then u let off it starts idleing rough then smooths out

Check engine light?
Any codes?

I'd say TPS.
You can check it with a voltmeter. But I don't remember what the outputs should be....
