I need suggestions for a high performance computer chip to be installed. 1997 ford ranger 2.3 manual. Certain companies say module and some have just the basic chips. Also they say that it will give you horse power and gas milleage will go up is this true? If anyone has any suggestiions that would be great!

 

it would be a stretch to ever refer to the 2.3 as high performance.. no matter what you do to it.
it's a dog and always will be a (lovable) dog.. better to leave sleeping dogs alone

 

I would look into a tuner for it, its a plug and play deal that should give you (hopefully) what your looking for.
