i recently bought a 1991 2.3L manual 2wd ranger. My EGR solenoid (aka vacuum control switch) isn't functioning properly. Its an easy part to swap out......if you can find one! The problem is i can't find a new one anywhere. BWD makes them and they are designated EGR 3017, but i even called them and they don't have them nor are they making them at this moment. I think it messes with my fuel mixture/mileage as the oxygen sensor is affected. Long story short....if you know where i can get a new EGR 3017 I would be greatful. Thanks.

 

With key off test the sensor with a digital volt meter on the ohm setting, it should read 20 to 70 ohms
