Front brakes / 97 ranger 2.3L
Guys,
I know it might be a stupid question. I found some answer on the web but I reallly need confirmation from FORD experts.
I had a 97 ford ranger and need to replace the original front right caliper with a new one from raybestos.
I bought one and just received it. I was surprised that the caliper didn't com with the mountain bracket. Is it normal ? Is it possible to install the new caliper with the old good mountain bracket ?
Also, I need to bleed the system but I don't know what kind of DOT , neither the ford dealer know the DOT ? inside my car. Hayne's manual says DOT 3.
Is it dangerous to miw DOT 3 and DOT 4 coz I read all over the internet and nothing wrong with the mix.
THanks you for your help !!!!

Brake job done. Really easy when you have all the information.
Done in 45 min.
the only downside is a small leak from the connection between the brake hose and the banjo bolt. I checked multiple times the way I torque it. Couldn't torque anymore but still a small fluid leak when apply the brakes.
Any ideas how to fix it guys ?

The washer can easily be lost without noticing when removing brake hose as they will at times stick to the hose and latter fall off without noticing it happened.
Here is a link showing picture of copper washer.
