look for a Weber carb air filter. that looks about the same size as the one that is in my 86 ram. just measure the filter and find one that matches

Cant find the filter anywhere. I tried using a metal 6 1/2 inch round air filter but it doesn't work.

You could always make your own...Just take some foam/mesh and take the old filter and cut it out then, superglue the new one into the filter frame.

Also this looks like a 2.3, but is that an aftermarket header? I see no EGR leading out of it.

It definitely looks to be a weber.. My brother had a slammed Mazda with a weber carb and a filter setup like that. Good luck!

look for a 85 ranger with a factory air cleaner. It uses a regular round filter. What kinda carb is it. you should be able to figure something out. I would make a cold air intake if I was you. Use a pvc 90* elbow and then drill a hole in the top so it works like a carb hat, and run some flex pipe to a cone filter.
