we've been discussing the remote mounts over on TRS a decent bit lately. They are for the most part the same as a regular turbo system and require the same things. if you want to run over 5psi of boost then you will want forged pistons. you should still do an intercooler and you will need to consider the length of all the intake pipe and the lag it may cause. the turbo still needs an oil feed and return, the feed is easy seeing as it is tapped off of a pressure side so that is easy, but the return is totally gravity fed and if it is not allowed to freely drain out the pressure can force the oil right out of the seals in the turbo, so how are you going to setup the return for the oil? one suggestion I have heard was a seperate tank below the level of the turbo for the oil to drain into then a seperate pump in that tank to return the oil to the engine, or possibly setup a seperate oiling system for the turbo all together... and is this a street or off-road truck and what are you going to do for an intake before the turbo? if you use the stock computer then you will need a MAF in there befor eht turbo, and with an open element under the vehicle like that it is very suseptable to dirt and especially water, and pulling in water does very very bad things to engines...
