Is it the oil reservoir hose? Does it go down to the oil pump?

Unsure of which one u mean do u mean
The hose coming from the valve cover, approx. 2" to the passenger side of the oil fill cap is the crankcase ventilation hose and it should go to the intake.

Yep, that gets plugged directly into the air circulation system around in there... I wouldnt worry about it being cracked, it shouldnt have anythign go bad with it.. but if you want to make the engine perfect and such.. feel free to :-)

Actually DO worry if it's cracked. This hose moves crankcase vapors from the valve cover to the intake manifold so they can be burned off for emissions.

Since this hose connects directly to your intake manifold via the throttle body, it can create a vacuum leak and will cause poor performance, bad gas mileage, stuttering idle, and other symptoms. More than likely, the crack you're seeing is only on the outer portion of the hose, but it may already be leaking!

I would recommend stopping by the Ford dealership (not sure if this one is available in retail auto parts stores without doing a special order.) ASAP to get this replaced.

Hmm maybe this is contributing to my not so great gas mileage. Is there an official name for this hose or no?
