used engine price
I found a 1988 fuel injected engine in the wrecking yard to replace the same one that is currently in my truck.They said compression checked out and are asking 500 dollars for it.Is this to much?

Yea thats to much, atleast where I live. For a motor that old and from a yard you should be able to get it for under 200. The local pick and pull here sells motors for 150 and trans for 75 as a comparison.

For an 88 go back and slap the dude. He pull or you pull? Btw for not much more money you can rebuild the engine you have now .
