i have got my 2.3L 87 5speed ranger for our backyard derby. it sat for a long time. the gas was totaly trashed. pulled and drained tank. replaced injectors. the motor will fire and run on starting fluid untill you stop spraying then it dies. but will not even sputter when trying to start normally and will not run. i have bypassed the fuel pump; filter mixing bowl. and am running a later model submersable fuel pump right into the fuel rail. (over 50PSI). i have checked my inertia switch. everything is morking properly just not getting fuel into the motor. injectors not firing? how do i check this? i have power to the hot side of the injector wires (checked with a light) HELP!!!!!!! derby is sunday afternoon and this is supposed to be a wrecking machine!!!!

 

Injectors are ground switched iirc

 

i know they are ground fired. but when i have 3 plugged in the other has power on both sides. and when i pull them all only have power on one side...
