How to find parts for turbo install

I’ve seen plenty of videos where people have turbo charged their rangers but no info on how to do it. I know that there are later models that have turbos from the factory but I don’t know if they fit on my 98 2.5L or if there are other engines that have parts that I could use. I don’t want to have to fabricate the manifolds if I can help it.
Also, I am in the middle of rebuilding a spare engine. Therefore I can build it up to be strong enough to handle the extra boost if I need to.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jason

Hey how is your turbo coming along? I'm curious about this too. My father is retired master tech Ford Mechanic. He gave me some turbo parts for my 00 2.5l. It all came from an 80 something T-bird TC. I think 88. I haven't done it yet but if he says it will work then I don't doubt it. He has listen to my motor over the phone and told me what was wrong and how to fix it. He is like a living tech manual, lol. Well hopefully that helps you. I"ll do a video when it comes time for my turbo. + Im in Ca. Smog? Umm, IDK?
