Just some tips on 2.3 liters

Over the years at home and the work fleet I had seen some items on 2.3 liters that may help you guys. The tee that your coolant sensor screws into rusts and can develop a pin hole or worst a hole draining your coolant.Cheap replacement at Rock auto.Only 1 fan speed on your heater, the resistor mounted to the blower housing under the hood is gone south, about $15.00 bucks to replace.Keep a eye on your leaf spring mounts, they have a bad habit of rotting,if the are still solid, clean and paint with good rust paint if rotted a grinder and air hammer are your friends, replacements at Rock auto and smearing them with grease keeps rust away. The mystery cable under the cab is in case of collision your seat won,t come loose. To replace key cylinder, remove shrouds, insert key and turn to run, take a pick with a 90 degree angle and push the button and pull cylinder out(you do not have to remove wheel in older 90,s trucks)and yes the button is there.2.3 liters seen to hate Bosch platinum plugs, stick with Motorcraft or Autolites. Relocate your ignition module, heat kills them.Mine sits on a plate attached to where the A/C would go with a ground cable running to the battery.Hope these help someone.
