Where did you buy it? I would take it back.

Only the spark plugs on the exhaust side of a 8 spark head ignite on the power strokes the otherside fire on the exhaust stroke. So it can easily be used instead of an 8 spark head, just make sure you hook up the right coil pack.

BUTTTTTTTT the only 4 plug head flows like crap compared to the newer 8 plug heads so you will have a loss of power and your computer may not be tuned correctly for it.

Also the ports could be different there are D shaped and round shapes for various years.

Are you sure you wasn't sold a DOHC head?

Ok Awesome I just wanted to know if it would work. Im fixing it for a friend of mine so the power doesn't really matter to her. As long as it runs from point a to b she is good. Haha how would I go about tuning the computer to accept what we do if it doesn't work?

Ummmmm you would pay a few hundred dollars to get it tuned.

You haven't answered my question "Where did you buy it?"

I would try to find another head. They aren't that hard to find. You are probably just gonna run in to a bunch of problems.

Get another head.
You electronics will be looking for the other four plugs to fire, not sure what will happen if your computer doesn’t see the plugs; can someone say error code.

Really not sure but always use the same parts and same in the long run.
