Mystery Nut hits my garage floor...can you identify?

I was turning my steering wheel in my garage from lock to lock with the engine off (trying to get some air out of the power steering system) and I heard a *PING*.

Checked under the truck and saw this.

Any ideas?

Might want to check your shocks. Looks like it might be one of the nuts that holds, and compresses the rubber/urethane bushings on your shock. Or maybe steering damper?

That was the first thing I checked, but both shock mount bolts were there. Someone on another forum suggested it might be from a prior shock change. Like it fell off of the impact and vanished.

I was able to confirm that they were changed probably 6-8 years ago....so it's definitely possible. That thing must have been wedged in there to be shook loose this many years later.

I'm not familiar with the steering damper on these trucks. Any photos to push me in the right direction?
