It looks like a receiver/dryer, filter/dryer or accumulator.

accumulator canister

do you think this can be fixed...anyone know about how much it would cost to get it replaced and have a vaccuum on it and then recharge....just need to know what kind of price to look for so i'm not getting ripped off.
what it probably needs is the little pin inside the port. Like a 2 second fix assuming thats what it is. I think to drain it and refill would probably be like 80-100 bucks... Hard to say with the all the freon covering the connector.
well its not like a valve stem or anything if thats what your thinking...like a bike tire or car tire......it has a rubber ball like think in there and i think it was punctured by a guy I was working for who thought he knew everything about automobiles....but i dunno what to do with it...i'll clean the freon out and take more pictures tomorrow

I'm saying accumulator as well -Mike-
anyone know the best place to buy one of these?
its the thing that goes in that one place that does that job.
I would try autozone, carquest, napa, all of them should have one that fits your year.
^^yep. -Mike-

I think that's the AC oil. Freon instantly evaporates at room temperature.

i larger pic would be good, it looks like the high side manifold line. the dryer is more at the rear of the engine compartment near the firewall.
