looks like a 2.3 carbed lima motor

also looks like its been modded with tube headers
very good little motor

almost wish i had another one

its definitely a 1st gen.....looks like a 2bl webber carb

power steering, power brakes....and his windsheild washer pump doesn't work

It's an 84, and the power steering and power brakes do work. But u r correct on the washer pump.

yeah, i was just rattling off stuff i noticed....

did you just get it or have you done anything to it?

cuz it looks like its been tweaked (in a good way)

if you haven't done anything....i HIGHLY suggest getting the head off...dropping in an aggressive street cam, gasket match the intake and exhaust and getting it ported and polished

you will have one wicked little motor

look closely at the 2nd pic.....you can see the plug on the reservoir has either been cut or is missing....

My last 2.3, (a 93 xlt), lasted for more then 300k miles!

if my 2.8 goes to hell, i'm totally swapping in a hopped up 2.3

they are amazing motors when fixed up

I pretty much bought it for winter, so I can park my Jetta. Prob wont be modding it. Speakin of which, what is the best things I can do to it to "winterize it"?

Winter tires, a couple bags of sand for the back and a tune up and you'll be unstoppable.

Its a could be a 2.0 or 2.3 in the early 80s,I had a lima 2.8 rebuilt with head work aftermarket cam,dual exhaust 4 speed in a 1974 mustang 11,it pulled hard damn it wish i had that motor today

i rebuilt my 2.8 and did some headwork with the stock cam....
DAMN!!

night and day difference.....especially after the duraspark conversion

i can't wait to get it on the road and really drive it

I beleave someone used to make a 4 barrel carb manifold for the 2.8 tehe
