High Mileage 4 Cylinder Owners Please Read
Okay i have seen some HIGH mileage rangers reporting GREAT gas mileage.
My truck EATS gas
I have a 1995 2.3L 5 Speed XLT 180,000 miles
The truck is ALL OEM,not modified.
I do carry around 150-200 LBS in the rear bed ( My TOOLS )
I shift @ 3,000 RPM ( Never any higher,cause it wouldn't go anywhere anyways ) LMAO !!!!
Truck has 15 Inch Wheels @ Tires
No Check Engine light
New Plugs / Wires / Coil packs
Fresh Cooling System
New Exhaust ( Factory Header Back )
Cold Air Intake ( Should i go back to Factory air box ??? )
373 Factory Gears
PLEASE chime in,and LMK ( THANKS )
I am going to change the fuel filter this weekend
Any other ideas ??????

Don't you work in a mustang shop? This should be pretty obvious to anyone with some real automotive knowledge. You just posted saying your truck is staying super cold all the time and not warming up. Which is probably because of your thermostat. I'm sure you either got one that is the wrong temp, or you have a fail safe one and it failed (stuck in the open position always). When the truck is cold it's running on a default map, known as open loop. It doesn't rely on the oxygen sensors to adjust the mixture. When it reaches a certain temp (it's like 180* I think?) then it goes into closed loop mode and uses the oxygen sensors to adjust the mixture accordingly. Your truck isn't warming up, so it's staying in the default open loop and that is causing you to get crappy mileage. Again, I don't really get how you didn't figure this out on your own. You mentioned having a shop, and I see your truck at whatever the mustang place is called on lyons and johnson when I drive that way.
