Ever since i changed my oil a couple days ago it seems that the truck is taking slightly longer to start up. Maybe half to a full second. A couple times i even let go of the key thinking it was started already. What could this be caused by?

More oil causing more crank case pressure and its taking the starter a couple more revolutions to get the motor spinning fast enough to fire...

It was a different weight. I had asked my grandfather to pick some up for me, and i didn't check to see what kind it was.

Really you should change back to the lighter weight oil. The thinner oil fits into the tighter tolerances in the motor better helping to maintain engine life.

what he said........... for the longest time i ran with 10W-30 in my 2.5, and didn't really have any trouble with it, then i went a little lighter with 5W-30 Mobil 1, and the truck seems to like that alot better
