Welcome to the forum
Can't find a 2.5l fan belt diagram online so can't see whats there now, if you still have the drawing of yours on rad support take a picture of it and post it here
Power steer pumps need a full 1/2 wrap of a fan belt because they are so hard to spin, AC, alternator and water pumps less but can be more just for convenience and routing
You are probably going to need to build an idler pulley to get any belt to work to keep alternator and water pump working
Wrecking have loads of stuff to look at and there are quite a few vehicles that have idler pulleys with brackets that you may be able to retro fit on your 2.5l
There were older 2.3l Rangers that came without power steering or AC but...................they all used multiple V belts not single serpentine belt
EDIT: found this one, is this what yours looks like: https://ww2-secure.justanswer.com/up...4_184333_0.jpg
If this is what it looks like then you could use a much shorter belt and skip 3, 4, and 5 pulleys
So go straight up from crank pulley to water pump pulley
What you would do is to use a string and run it on that route WITHOUT tensioner(8) so straight from alternator to crank pulley
Measure the string and get a belt of that length
Tensioner should hold it tight
