Seafoam

I used it earlier today in my 00 2.5L and it is definately running better already but Im not sure I put enough in through the vacuum hose. How often is it ok to safely use seafoam?

I would say about 15xxx-20xxx after you do it. Don't do it to often or you could mess up your spark plugs. I did mine at 70xxx and use lucas injector cleaner once in a while to keep it clean. Then next time I am going to Seafoam the engine is when I hit 100xxx. Did you put 1/3 of the can in vacuum hose 1/3 in the gas tank and 1/3 in with the oil?

Yes but I mis-judged and less than a 1/3 when it was time to put in the vacuum hose. The truck has just under 70,000 miles and I was planning on changing plugs next week. Would it be a problem if I did just the vacuum hose again before I changed the plugs?

your supost to replace your spark plugs everytime you do it. I never did it in my oil because its needs changed right after words like 50 miles later.

How many miles did you have on it before you seafoamed?

And what are the physical characteristics in the performance factor?

i do seafoam whenever i change the oil like every 6 months, its the closest thing ill ever have to a diesel after i let it sit for 20 minutes.if never changed the plugs afterwards but could always tell a difference for the better.i enjoy using seafoam on my grandparents cars like once a year just to see the smoke.

For the guy asking what seafoam is:

I used it at 106k when I got my truck and it worked well. Did it again at 126k and I ended up having to change the plugs soon after cuz they got fouled.

I put it in the vacuum line off the brake booster goin to the intake manifold. Always had good luck there. Just make sure you space out the times you use it.

Make sure when you put it in you don't have the ac on or the interior will be smelling like carbon for a while.

seafoam

i've been using seafoam for years,i started at 150,000 miles and am now at 654,000 i use the stuff every 5,000 miles like your supppose to,i called the manufacturer and spoke to one of there chemists,he said just pour the entire contents into the gas tank and fill up and just drive,i'm still on my original fuel injectors and i'm the orig owner,as far as oil is concerned try marvel mystery oil every 5,000 miles,i do and still have the same perfect oil pressure now as when it was brand new,but the seafoam is great....
