Spark plugs & wires

I'm hoping to replace the spark plugs and wires in the Ranger this weekend. I'd like to know what kind you recomend, and the aprox. price range it would be in... As i have no idea how to change out spark plugs, i'm having my uncle which is a mechanic do it. I am also not aware of the spark plugs being changed in its entire lifetime (185,000 miles) because it was used as a work truck. What differences am i going to notice and what are the advantages of it.

Yes, if the plugs are original.

I hate the 2.5's 8 plug head...such a PITA.

Original plugs verses say platium with 2-4 electrodes. I discussed this with a friend of mine and he agrees with You.......I don't understand that concept though.

please dont use anything but motorcraft or autolite plugs, you just wont be happy. go platinum if you can afford it.

as far as wires, any quality set should work just fine.

for platinum plugs expect to pay $3-4 each , for wires, maybe $30 for a good set

Autolite Double Platinum... like Bob said, Autolite or Motorcraft only others are a huge waste...
