tranny's gone

driving down the road to seattle got as far as the schrade rest area when i pulled out thr tranny didn't sound good couldn't tell if it was tranny or diff when the tow truck finally showed i watched as they pulled the truck onto the deck the wheels were turning and so was the driveline so it rules out the diff has anyone heard of a manual trans go gunnysack so quickly? i can put it in gear but the truck rolls like it is in neutral i just changed the clutch and slave cylinder about 6 mths ago the p.o. tried to haul about 4000 pounds of lumber with the truck and the trailer came loose and tore up the bumper these trucks are not made for heavy hauling it only has a 4 cylinder anyone know of a good rebuild shop for manual trannys in the spokane area

I'm pretty sure 4000 pounds is way over limit for that engine/tranny combo they rate my 3.0 with manual at like 2900 or so and that will definitely eat a tranny. But as far as rebuilding you may come out cheaper with a good used one with low miles most junkyards even give warranties similar to the rebuild shops now.
