Which transmission to use

Which transmission to use
I have a 88 ranger 2.3 manual transmission is bound up in gear. was wandering which transmission i can bolt to the 2.3? Will any 4 cly manual transmission work? Thanks Todd

Will a transmission out of a mazda truck work? It also has a 4 cyl motor. I know that the one i have in My Ranger is the mazda tranny but wasn't sure if they interchange. Thanks Todd

Yes if is a mazda B2300-2500 series truck then yes it will work.

I was reading in the Mazda section & it said that mazda was mazda & ford was ford until 1996 Then they became the same. just confused Thanks Todd
