Update

I got everything torn down off the motor. I already have the new timing belt tensioner back on, the new belt on, new water pump on. The only snag I ran into was that I had to take the harmonic balancer off. The book I had did not say it but once I took the timing belt cover off I could tell that there was no way to take the belt off without it. 6 of the plugs are a piece of cake but I have not tackled the last back two on the driver side. Looks real fun.

Hmm, I do not know.

I have 7 of the 8 plugs changed. I left the hardest one for last. It is the driver side 3rd back from the front. I will tackle it tomorrow. I am way to tired. I got the radiator back in this evening.

Tomorrow, gonna change the last plug, then everything else goes back on. When I get all my stuff on, gonna then change the oil, put the new air filter in, and put new radiator fluid in. Then, good to go.

Here is some pics because I was bored:

Temporary work bench. Dont worry, it is the old one.

All done. Wow, wasn't that fun. That last plug was a *****. It took us about 20 minutes to change it out because there was something in the way so we disconnected it. Then, putting the clip back on for whatever it was is was made it take so long. After that, everything went on like a breeze. A little scary though afer we took it down the road because the water temo did not change on the scan gauge off of 45 degrees. Pulled over, turned it off to put more fluid in. Then, took a good 20 seconds of turning to get it started again.

In the end, it seems to start better now almost.

Going to my friends house, I was averaging about 30 mpg on the scan gauge. That kicked ***.
