SAS help

plan on doing a SAS in a month or two. I want to do a Dana 44 leaf spring conversion. Or Dana 60 leaf spring
I was wondering if someone could post a link of a thread or website on how to do it. Not the coil spring Dana 44/60 either. The leaf spring Dana 44 or Dana 60. YES I HAVE LOOKED FOR ONE ALREADY.

Please and thank you

The best advice I can give you is.. DONT. You sound like you have no idea what your talking about. Go research for a couple years. Figure out if you want a d44 or 60, and how much lift you want, what you want to do with the steering, the brakes, what tires and wheels you want. Are you going full width, what gearing are you gonna run, are you going to replace the rear axle aswell? Is it gonna rain? Do i need to wear a leather jacket, is there gonna be any bitches at the bars?

I know exactly what I am doing and if I need help I have about 10 buddies that know what they're doing. I also have friends that own shops that know exactly what they're doing. I have everything already planed out and ready to go and all I need is to start buying the parts. The only reason I posted for help was to get a estimate on price.

You asked for help on how to do it.

Pricing varies immensely depending on if you buy used, rebuilt, or custom axles.

I have my doubts. But if your 10 buddies new what they were doing, and have done this before, they would be able to throw numbers out at you.. easily.

So axle $100-1,000 or more depending if you want a d44 or d60
rear axle $100- idk $500 or more.
Gears and install kits: $5-600
Lockers $welded up to a **** ton more depending on what you want.
steering box, plus p/s lines
highsteer?
brakes for both axles(calipers, pads, rotors, brake lines)
Gear oil, seals, bearings, yokes u-joints (for both steering axle, and dshafts) etc.
leaf springs - for front and rear
shackles and shackle mounts
Rims - Stock ranger rims = no
Tires If you want 40's they cost $$
Tierod and draglink
pitman arm for steering box
steering shaft
bigger master cylinder, if you go tons. Stock ms wont be adequate
driveshafts = More money
shock hoops, and shocks
+ a ---- ton more stuff

I quit giving estimates, cause you need to decide what axle your going to run. THEN decide what parts you want to run in those axles. Someone can say 5grand.. and i have half that in just tires and rims.

Do more research, and when you think you've done enough. Do more.
