Cheap SAS front leaf springs?
 

What is everyone using for front leaf springs on their SAS that won't break the bank? Would the Chevy 63" springs be suitable? I was unsure because of the added weight of the motor.

Wait, your signature says it all

I did run a search that came up with very little and I also went though the SAS Leaf threads and the best I could find was Wagoneer leafs and custom order aftermarket leafs. Most threads had no mention of what leaf springs were being used. I am by no means an offroad expert so I am asking for advice from people who know more about this.

That is actually as very well priced spring that is right in my budget. Thanks fellas. One more question. I was able to find it on 4 wheel parts but it asks what vehicle. What would be the vehicle to order this for? I entered a 77 Jeep Wagoneer. Just want to confirm before I order. Thanks again.

Read over on pirate4x4 that some people have had luck using the Chevy K5 Blazer 52" leaf springs.

some people use Toyota leafs too

Can you use rear ranger leaf springs in the front for the sas? I have a 97 regular cab step side and was gonna do 6" leafs and a 3" body to clear 35" tires. Any ideas help. Thanks guys

Rangers don't have leafs in the front stock.

I'm aware leafs didn't come on ranger's. I'm doing a solid axle swap and was wondering if you could just use rear springs instead of Chevy or Toyota springs on the front so you'd have matched springs all the way around. If that matters.

It doesn't matter if they are matched. And they wouldn't give you any lift. Go with one of the ones listed above.

Did you even read my post? 6" LIFT springs. Would they work as front axle leaf springs?

Get the racho 44044 leafs. They have the spring rate that will hold up the truck and take abuse from wheeling. With a body lift you should have no isues with clearing 35s. I dont see stock ranger rear leafs holding up the front end of a ranger for too long unless you added leafs.

That what I told him. He kept asking if they would work and they would bolt up but I wouldn't use them.

I noticed those 44044 spring have a spring rate of abut 300lbs. You guys think these would flex well or be on the stiffer side?

Did you ever move forward with the 44044s?

I have an '87 and considering the same springs for a leaf SAS.
