97 4X2 SAS fwd conversio

I have a 1997 Ranger XLT with the step side bed and the 2.3l 5 speed
I am looking into swaping in the Axles out of my YJ because the Jeep is a rust bucket and the motor is knocking. I am familiar with doing SAS I have done a couple on Toyotas and I am a pretty competent backyard fabricator. Here is what I have to Start out with

Driver side drop Waggy dana 44 with 4.88 gears and a aussie locker' High steer knuckles and one ton TRE's
Isuzu dana 44 rear with 4.88's and a Detroit Locker
2 inch BDS YJ leaf springs

The question I have is I am not familiar with fords, What Tranny and Tcase do I need? I would like to stay with a manual shifting tcase because of the wattery mud we have in fla I have heard of all the horror stories about the xfer cases not shifting.
What years parts trucks should i look for for the tranny and xfer case.

Thanks in advance.

You will really be better off buying a '93 to '97 4.0L 4x4. I don't beleive that there is a transmission and transfer that will bolt up to the 2.3. Unless you are planning on swapping in a v8. In which case check out the "how to" section.
